Automatic Pressure Regulators for Secondary and Primary Pressure Control
ALLO® automatic pressure regulators perform two clearly defined control functions: As pressure reducers, they control the secondary pressure; as overflow regulators, they control the primary pressure. The regulators are fluid-operated and are selected to match the system’s operating parameters.
The C, U, and N series are available for steam, gas, and liquid media. The AR series is designed for steam and liquids. Depending on the series, the nominal pressure, controlled variable, temperature limit, kvs range, and control accuracy vary significantly.
The product range extends from regulators for low pressures and low flow rates to models designed for high pressures and temperatures. Therefore, for technical preselection, it is not only the maximum values but, above all, the series-specific operating limits that are decisive.

Design and Operation of the ALLO® Automatic Pressure Regulators
Series and Control Types
The ALLO® product line is divided into the C, U, N, and AR series. The selection depends on the medium, controlled variable, nominal pressure, temperature, and required kvs value. For the C, U, and N series, the product overview lists piston or rolling diaphragm control as well as bellows control. For piston or rolling diaphragm control, a control accuracy of 1–2% is specified; for bellows control, 3–10%. For the AR series, a control accuracy of 1–2% is specified.
Regulating Outlet Pressure or Inlet Pressure
The ALLO® regulator is designed as a pressure reducer for outlet pressure control. This variant is intended for applications in which the pressure downstream of the regulator is controlled. When configured as an overflow regulator, the device controls the inlet pressure and is thus set to the pressure upstream of the regulator. The appropriate series and control type must be determined based on the specific operating data. This includes, in particular, the medium, the desired control task, the pressure level, the pressure differential, the temperature, and the required flow rate or kvs value.
