Control valve or self-acting pressure regulator?
A control valve is actuated by an external drive and can be integrated into a higher-level control loop.
A self-acting pressure regulator, on the other hand, reacts directly to the prevailing pressure conditions and uses the process medium to generate the control movement.
Which solution is appropriate depends on the control task, process requirements and plant design.
